Welcome!
The new school year -- 2009-10 -- is off to a good start after a whirlwind of changes for The Cal-SAFE Program. Despite all these changes, you will be happy to know that there are VERY few changes this year with GradStar and these few changes are ones that will make your data collection and entry easier.
Thus, for the 2009-10 school year:
-- You should use the SAME paper GradStar forms that you used during 2008-09.
-- You should continue to use the SAME User Name/ID and Password that you used during 2008-09.
-- You should continue to use the SAME agency code that you used during 2008-09.
-- You will continue to enter data from the paper forms into the Online GradStar Database by going to the Secure section of www.gradstar.com.
-- You should continue completing forms for BOTH returning students and children and new students and children. However, for returning students and children who attended your program last year and are already in the GradStar Database, you do NOT need to fill out all the fields on the following forms. You ONLY have to complete the fields marked with an asterisk (*). All other fields are optional.
-- You should review the Updates section of this website to see which of the Instructional Manuals have been revised to include clarifications about various GradStar forms and procedures.
Finally, if you are not currently receiving Brenda LeTendre's periodic email memos about GradStar, please email her at bletendr@pittstate.edu and request that you be added to the distribution list. She will be sending out regular GradStar memos around the first of each month.
